Trains

I have a new mode of transportation I am now going to take when I go to Washington ....TRAINS!  I had the most relaxing morning.  It was so quiet.  I was not quite sure what to do with myself.  No traffic,  no racing to get on HOV...it was wonderful.

This is what someone needs to come up with..a luxury train round trip from Richmond,VA to Washington DC...

I will immediately get back to reality- but it is amazing what one little thing like changing your mode of transportation can do to the brain!

I am always on the hunt for light fixtures...big, small, contemporary, french- the list goes on and on!  They are super fun to look for and I love the challenge of finding the absolute perfect piece...

I love the drama of this and I bet it looks even more amazing at night when the light hits the glass....

I LOVE the ceiling...a masterpiece of metallic branches...

I LOVE the pink dining chairs with white painted legs and contrast fabric on the back that you can change as your mood does...

I LOVE the upholstered doors with nailhead trim....

Super Bowl Sunday

I will have to admit I am not a huge football fan....I have tried!  I have tried to understand the game, get into the teams and just tried to be genuinely interested....I have failed.  Just not that interested...I do love a good excuse to go to a party on a Sunday night however....

Mirror Mirror On the Wall

When I was in NYC last week there was lots of metallic wallpaper - almost mirrored and it is FABULOUS.....Very Shiny and new and wild.  I need a little studio apartment in NYC or Miami Beach to do this in...If J. Lo or Jennifer Aniston would go ahead call me to help them with their next project I could solve my problem...

Not sure if I could do this in an entrance hall - but a powder room would be amazing - OR a back hallway....this picture of the Queen is getting me excited about the upcoming nuptials!!

It is hard to tell in this picture..but the background is silver metallic.

That is the great thing about metallic wallpapers - it is not super shiny in every light and can be subtle
