A throw back to 1976 Izmir, Turkey in the Konak shopping district
We lived in Izmir for four years and we had many visitors that would be taken down to the Konak shopping district…..
Me and my Father dressed up for work in a blue blazer and jeans
My grandparents and my aunt- who still doesn't understand why my grandmother cut her hair like that- It has to be the reason I am I am hysterically crying.
As the child it is hard to remember your parents as anything but parents - but looking back they were clearly very cool and ahead of their time....
While I should have visions of sugarplums dancing in my head- I seem to be distracted by the idea of tropical air. I am thinking about tagging along for a few nights with my sister, her family and my mother to the Dominican Republic after Christmas….just the thought of the six hours of traveling alone in silence is enough to make me press the purchase button for the plane tickets.
Recently a couple of people(or one person) in the office have had a mild obsession with anything relating to
ALABAMA
One of our amazing client's turned us on to the documentary
Muscle Shoals
It is about the music that has been produced by a small recording studio in Muscle Shoals, AL for the last 55 years. The unbelievable sounds that have been created there and why artists have flocked to a tiny town in Alabama for years to find their soul.
I have now watched it three times and purchased the soundtrack
Just another distraction from all of the Christmas shopping I need to accomplish!!!
A resort on the island of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia.
The island was purchased by Marlon Brando in 1967 when he was filming Mutiny on the Bounty.
He fell in love with his co-star Tarita Terripia, a native Tahitian, and the rest is history.
The Brando is a 35 villa carbon neutral resort. They used all local and renewable resources in building the property including a deep ocean air-conditioning system.
Thank you Bonnie and Chris Snyder for trusting us in your home and allowing us to create the perfect space for you! We were so impressed with Walker Frick's team for bringing our vision to life!
Thank you to the people that are our constant support and make it all possible

Here are a couple of fun shots from today's shoot…
I have a yearly tradition of watching The Last Waltz right before Thanksgiving
The Band held a farewell concert in San Francisco on Thanksgiving Day November 25, 1976
Martin Scorsese filmed the concert along with interviews of The Band which became the documentary
The Last Waltz
They served a seated Thanksgiving dinner before the concert. Scorsese used famed
set designer Boris Leven. Leven used very formal drapes and huge crystal chandeliers to set the stage. I love how the band members are all in suits and very dressed up at the start of the show and as the concert progresses they start to take jackets off and you start to physically see what it takes to perform on stage for hours.
