Mirror Mirror On the Wall

When I was in NYC last week there was lots of metallic wallpaper - almost mirrored and it is FABULOUS.....Very Shiny and new and wild.  I need a little studio apartment in NYC or Miami Beach to do this in...If J. Lo or Jennifer Aniston would go ahead call me to help them with their next project I could solve my problem...

Not sure if I could do this in an entrance hall - but a powder room would be amazing - OR a back hallway....this picture of the Queen is getting me excited about the upcoming nuptials!!

It is hard to tell in this picture..but the background is silver metallic.

That is the great thing about metallic wallpapers - it is not super shiny in every light and can be subtle

Don't forget about the exhibition tonight at Reynolds Gallery ...it is a great date night idea ... soak in some art, grab a bite to eat afterwards.  You will feel so cultured and may just end up with that piece you have been looking for for over your mantle!

Gypsy Fever

It has been going on for awhile now... Colorful Ikats, Intricately Woven Suzani's and just plain Gypsy Fever.  I don't know if it is because of our lovely economy the past couple of years and that's what is making people want a little more "real" and a little less ''perfect"...I am not sure...but


I LOVE it!


This grouping above the bed looks like it was collected at flea markets locally or all over the world...

SAG Awards

There was a lot of neutral and metallic on the red carpet Sunday night at the SAG Awards...So classic and elegant!

Natalie Portman made up for her fashion disaster at the Golden Globes a few weeks ago...this dress is perfection and shows off her beautiful face...

I love Pairs

I will have to say I have a small problem with pairs...I love them!  I love pairs of chairs, demi-lunes, lamps and yes - I even love pairs of art...I actually had a gallery talk me out of getting a pair of lithographs and I regret it to this day that I don't have the "PAIR".  I know I know odd things are maybe better- a little more unexpected...I AGREE!  

But I still love pairs and the symmetry they have and can create and the way they make everything seem a little more organized...I just can't help myself....
